IDEAL REPUBLIC is the “Not Just for Profit” side of  IDEA REPUBLIC

I have started this blog because i strongly felt that it is time to define, shape and use the term  “Social Businss Design” in the field where it belongs to in “my opinion”.

In the last couple of months my “Google Alert” brought me every day new blog posts from the DachisGroup about “Social Business Design”. The DachisGroup uses & defines the term “Social Business Design” in the context of social media & enterprise x.0:

“Social Business Design is the intentional creation of dynamic and socially calibrated systems, process, and culture. The goal: improving value exchange among constituents.”

As a Business Design MBA graduate from Zollverein School of management & design and a scholar of the Social Business concept developed by Muhammad Yunus for me the term “Social Business Design” also belongs in the context “Design of Social Businesses”.

But just like Tom Todd, who posted the following comment here to the blog post “Is ´Social Business´ the new black?” from Neville Hobson, i think that the two areas (1) Social Business á la Yunus & (2) Social Business á la DachisGroup can nurish and learn from each other.  To support this learning is one of the aims of this blog.

The main goal of this blog is to connect the people, tools & methods from the world of “Business Design” and “Social Design” with the people who are working on the design of “Social Businesses” to make our world a better place.
